"Highest First" - God is Supreme

The Fellowship Of Faith was founded in the belief that communities must learn to help themselves. Our work is founded on the following five pillars of faith:

  • A duty to reach out to lost souls
  • An obligation to lead by example
  • An all-inclusive approach to helping others regardless of their religious beliefs
  • Acceptance of the fact that we, too, may someday require assistance in our time of need
  • The path to salvation lies in volunteering

Our Five Primary Functions

EVANGELISM:

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

The family of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church believes that evangelism is a God-given function of the church expressly designed for church and kingdom growth. We therefore engage ourselves in the training and sharing of how one can be at peace with God and experience true hope found only in the person of Jesus Christ. Our church family is encouraged not only to proclaim their faith…they are encouraged to live their faith.

DISCIPLESHIP:

“Go and make disciples of all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Discipleship is an essential function of the church that ultimately identifies our obedience to the Great Commission. Christ has made it very clear that we are to make disciples of all nations and that that process is to begin right here at Grace Fellowship. We believe that discipleship is a lifelong journey of obedience to Christ that transforms a person’s values and behavior resulting in essential ministry in one’s home, church, and the community in which they live.

FELLOWSHIP:

“If we say, ‘We have fellowship with Him,’ and walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Although social interaction and goodwill toward others is a necessary function of any church family; we believe that all-encompassing fellowship must include the intimate spiritual relationship that Christians share with God and other believers through their relationship with Jesus Christ. Since meaningful fellowship is expressed in the “oneness” believers share in Christ, we believe it is essential to follow the principle given in John 1:6-7.

SERVICE/MINISTRY:

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life – a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28

Service/Ministry is a kingdom principle and a God-given function of the church. It naturally follows evangelism and discipleship in the Christians developmental process. Grace Fellowship desires to meet the needs of others in the name of Jesus, expressed as service to persons who are already a part of our church family and expressed as missions to those who are outside of our family.

WORSHIP:

"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in the truth." John 4:24

We believe that worship which transforms is perhaps the most vital function of the five functions of the church. This transformation is the response of believers to the presence, holiness, and revelation of Almighty God. Adoration of God and showing reverence for Him is our first priority. Since true worship is always an encounter with God, He is to be the object and subject of our worship experience. And since God is spirit, genuine worship cannot be created by man, it must also be done in the spirit.
